I chose this article because saw a news in the television and saw the news of 5 high school students of Thailand acquired 5 gold medals at International Olympiads. Actually, there were only students from famous school of Thailand (in Bangkok) such as Triam-Udom, Mahidol Wittayanusorn, or Suam Kularb. I don’t see other schools from other province in Thailand got many prices like this. I don’t know why Thai governments don’t think to improve those schools, but I don’t know how about Singapore, will they are same or not. So I wanted to know how about students in the Singapore and I found this news.
This news said about Singapore Students got 18 medals at International Olympiads for Science and Mathematics. They received one Gold medal and three Silver medals for Biology. One gold medal and four silver medals from Physics. Two Gold medals from Chemist. And four silver medals, one bronze medal and one Honorable Mention from Mathematics.
I think Singapore students got many prices, they are very smart. They got medals more than Thai students. So Thai Education has to develop more than this, not just students in famous school can smart. But government should support many schools in the Thailand that don’t have much money too.
