I chose this article because it seems the president of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong can remember the person that not important for him, this person is a veteran broadcaster that important and had power in Singapore Broadcast, he had good sense about the political, and he died when he was 71.

In this news, the President of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong can remember a veteran broadcaster S. Chandramohan. He said in a condolence letter to his widow on last Monday. In the letter, he said S. Chandramohan, the former news and current affairs director at the then-Singapore Broadcasting Corporation died last Saturday after a long illness. He had a wife Mrs. Nirmala Chandramohan, and two children, Arjuna, and Shakuntala, the Prime Minister said about him that he was a professional, and he also had a good sense in political and understanding of today news or issues. The Prime Minister felt sorry to this very much.

In my opinion, I think this is a big lost of Singapore Broadcast because this person was a personnel that important to the SBC very much. So that why the Prime Mister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong was felt very sorry for his died. May be the person that has ability like him is doesn’t has much for now.

I chose this article because it was an interesting news because I saw a lot of private house in Thailand and prices of rate in Thailand now is cheaper than the past, the economic crisis and political problems in Thailand from last year until now made a lot of people in Thailand don’t have much money or some people may lost their jobs, that why the house prices in Thailand are lower than the past. However, the private home prices in Singapore rose up very high, let’s look at this news to see why.

In this news, the Global Property Guide said that private home prices in Singapore rose at the fastest growth in the world in the year to June 30 for 34 per cent. Mr. Matthew Montagu Pollock, the publisher of Global Property Guide said that because of the economic growth in Singapore, made people in Singapore have more money, so they can buy the private home in expensive prices. This made housing market in Singapore is very active.

In my opinion, Singapore is a country that have economic grow very fast, may be it because Singapore didn’t have many problems like Thailand such as politics problems or people fighting in the country, so they can developed country very quickly. I chose this article because it is the business news that presented the problem of disease that happened and affected the skates shop in Singapore. Sometime things that we didn’t want it to happen make a lot of troubles to our business, for example in this news, a disease in Singapore spread in many children and this made business in Singapore that rely on young customers lost a lot of money, so they have to think the measure to control this problem.

In this news, it said about the businesses in Singapore that depend on young or teenage customers have been hit by HFMD (Current hand, Food and Mouth disease) outbreak. They are working to prevent businesses from moving again. A skating shop names “Inline Culture” had lower income by ten to twenty per cent. There is measure to protected HFMD and make sure for customers that no risk of infected. I chose this article because it’s about environment of Singapore and other countries in ASEANS, which included Thailand. Singapore is one of Thailand’s neighboring country for a long time, Singapore is very near to Thailand. Many times Thailand and Singapore got the same problem about damage from climate changes or environment. So if Singapore get problem with the environment, it means Thailand will also have problem too.

In this news, the IPCC (Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change) had observed the effects of climate change in Singapore, the report was Singapore get affected of environment change, actually Singapore is just a small island and they need to trade for foods and many materials by shipping cross over country. So this means Singapore will get a lot of economic troubles because they do business by depend on the weather and environment.

In my opinion, I think Singapore is an important trading country in ASEANS, if they get problem about this, it will mean ASEANS will have problem too. I chose this article because nowadays the global warming is a very important issue. Everyone in the world was worried about the changes of the earth very much, there were a lot of changes that happened from global warming and many people worried such as climate changes, environment changes, Ozone atmosphere get damaged, ice in tundra melts, or many storms in the world. These all problems occurred from humans activities, for example humans released carbon monoxide to the atmosphere, released dirty water with dangerous chemicals to river and sea etc. Singapore is a country that release a lot of greenhouse gas to the world, so they need to think plans how cut it.

In this news, Singapore said that they will decrease emission of greenhouse gas by seven to eleven percent on business manufactures by 2020. From last year Singapore release plans to cut the greenhouse gas. The environment minister of Singapore Yaacob Ibraham said Singapore would start plan after he came back from Copenhagen.

In my opinion, I think now global warming is a very big problem for the entire world, so everyone needs to help this world, not only the governments. If we not do it, may be in the future we will don’t have this world to live anymore.

I chose this news because I knew about Tuberculosis not much, but I knew that this disease is very dangerous. Because it’s very hard to know when someone be infected by this disease. And if you don’t know that you are infected early, may be it will be too late to cure if you know late, so this disease is very dangerous so much.

In this news, Singapore used money about 2.2 million U.S. dollars in research of Tuberculosis to find the ways of knowing who is infected early. In this research, the researchers studied about immune cells in the blood of infected that active, and compare with inactive Tuberculosis, but now the test is not work.

In my opinion, I think this is a good thinking to find the way for knowing who infected Tuberculosis early. This thing will help a lot of people in the world. I chose this article because I saw the music festival in Patthaya, Thailand. Then I decided to find a news about the music festival in Singapore, and I found this news. It’s about the music festival and there was Katy Perry, the American singer in the festival. Actually, Katy Perry is one of my favourite singer too, I like many songs of her such as Hot and Cold, California Girls, or Wake up in Wegas, so I’m interested in this news very much.

This news said about the music festival 2010 in Singapore at Fort Canning. In the concert, there were a lot of famous singer and band, such as Tokio Hotel, Orianthi, The Like, Kanye West, and the WonderGirls. The highlight of concert was a famous American singer Katy Perry, because she has a lot of fans in Singapore. This concert was on 3rd – 5th August 2o1o.

In my opinion, I think the music festival in Singapore was better at Thailand, because they had a good promote and they brought many famous singers. While filming of the Shanghai film, Gong Li’s mom fell and got injuries. Then Oil stopped from his work and went to take care her mom.

In my opinion, I think Gong Li must love Ooi very much, because Ooi is a very good man. He tried many things for make Gong Li pregnant, and when Gong Li’s mom got injuries, he stopped all working and went to take care immediately. I chose this article because it looks dangerous and I want to warn people about parking in the danger places. Sometime many people like to park their cars in any places, but they didn’t look out by carefully that that place is safe or can park or not. They just park and then if that place can’t park may be this will make distress to someone, for example if you park in the inappropriate place, your car can block other person to get in their homes. But if you are park in the place that have building or under the tree that will damage like this article, may be you will die or your car will get damage.

In this news, a man just parked his car and went somewhere. While his car was parking, a tree branch fell and damaged his car. Luckily, no one was injured. This happened in Macpherson road.

The government wants people to use the public transportation more than present. They said this bus will decrease greenhouse gases emissions. In my opinion, I think this is a very good thinking, because now numbers of people that use car is very high, if the government has a good choice for people, may be they will don’t use car much, and this thing is good to the environment because it doesn’t make bad pollution. Singapore Students Acquired 18 Medals at International Olympiads

I chose this article because saw a news in the television and saw the news of 5 high school students of Thailand acquired 5 gold medals at International Olympiads. Actually, there were only students from famous school of Thailand (in Bangkok) such as Triam-Udom, Mahidol Wittayanusorn, or Suam Kularb. I don’t see other schools from other province in Thailand got many prices like this. I don’t know why Thai governments don’t think to improve those schools, but I don’t know how about Singapore, will they are same or not. So I wanted to know how about students in the Singapore and I found this news.

This news said about Singapore Students got 18 medals at International Olympiads for Science and Mathematics. They received one Gold medal and three Silver medals for Biology. One gold medal and four silver medals from Physics. Two Gold medals from Chemist. And four silver medals, one bronze medal and one Honorable Mention from Mathematics.

I think Singapore students got many prices, they are very smart. They got medals more than Thai students. So Thai Education has to develop more than this, not just students in famous school can smart. But government should support many schools in the Thailand that don’t have much money too.

I chose this article because I saw many people in Thailand talked about is it appropriate to used money for visited works in other countries. A lot of people who work in the high position of ministry always spent a lot of money because of silly thing such as this. They were also in my high school, for example a lot of teachers in my high school said school doesn’t have money to support students for education materials, or activities, but they have money to visit school in Korea, I didn’t understand at all.

In this news, the education minister of Singapore Ng Eng Hen will visit China for a week. He will go to the conference of education ministers of ASEAN and education minister of China. Then he will visit universities in Beijing, the capital of China to make a study about how education in China was developed.

In my opinion, I think a lot of money spent by this thing and many ministers not really go to visit work, or make a study but they want to travel. Singapore Men's Hockey Coach Quits

I chose this article because when I 'm looking for the news about sport in Singapore, and I found this. There are bad news and good news for Singapore men's hockey. It was very unfaired for the Singapore hockey coach.

The news said about The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) had changed their decision. They allowed the republic's hockey men to play at the Guangzhou from Nov 12 to 27. But the bad news is Lim Chiow Chaun, the coach who brought the men to 2nd spot in the seven team Asian games qualifiers in Dhaka. He resigned from Singapore men's hockey because he was dissappointed that SNOC decided not to send the hockey team to the Asian Games before. Now, SNOC changed decision too late because Lim Chiow Chaun already accepted offer from Malaysia. Before he will leave, he said "My wish for Singapore hockey is that they get more funding and that hockey players carry on in the sport."

In my opinion, I think this news was sad and happy for the hockey men in the same time. SNOC had changed their decision too slow, if I am Lim I will leave too because it looks SNOC don't see the important of them, so if the hockey men don't success in the Asian Games, it must blame on SNOC.
