I chose this article because it seems the president of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong can remember the person that not important for him, this person is a veteran broadcaster that important and had power in Singapore Broadcast, he had good sense about the political, and he died when he was 71.

In this news, the President of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong can remember a veteran broadcaster S. Chandramohan. He said in a condolence letter to his widow on last Monday. In the letter, he said S. Chandramohan, the former news and current affairs director at the then-Singapore Broadcasting Corporation died last Saturday after a long illness. He had a wife Mrs. Nirmala Chandramohan, and two children, Arjuna, and Shakuntala, the Prime Minister said about him that he was a professional, and he also had a good sense in political and understanding of today news or issues. The Prime Minister felt sorry to this very much.

In my opinion, I think this is a big lost of Singapore Broadcast because this person was a personnel that important to the SBC very much. So that why the Prime Mister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong was felt very sorry for his died. May be the person that has ability like him is doesn’t has much for now.

He said that now Singapore is growth very fast in the high level because of Singaporean, and they need to maintain the spirit and passed to the next generation, so this will made Singapore to growth in the future with no stopped.

In my opinion, I think Singapore is developed very fast because of many reasons, but the important one is the cooperation and unity of people in the country, these two things made Singapore to be a one of power country in economic of the world.

I chose this article because it was an interesting news because I saw a lot of private house in Thailand and prices of rate in Thailand now is cheaper than the past, the economic crisis and political problems in Thailand from last year until now made a lot of people in Thailand don’t have much money or some people may lost their jobs, that why the house prices in Thailand are lower than the past. However, the private home prices in Singapore rose up very high, let’s look at this news to see why.

In this news, the Global Property Guide said that private home prices in Singapore rose at the fastest growth in the world in the year to June 30 for 34 per cent. Mr. Matthew Montagu Pollock, the publisher of Global Property Guide said that because of the economic growth in Singapore, made people in Singapore have more money, so they can buy the private home in expensive prices. This made housing market in Singapore is very active.

In my opinion, Singapore is a country that have economic grow very fast, may be it because Singapore didn’t have many problems like Thailand such as politics problems or people fighting in the country, so they can developed country very quickly. I chose this article because it is the business news that presented the problem of disease that happened and affected the skates shop in Singapore. Sometime things that we didn’t want it to happen make a lot of troubles to our business, for example in this news, a disease in Singapore spread in many children and this made business in Singapore that rely on young customers lost a lot of money, so they have to think the measure to control this problem.

In this news, it said about the businesses in Singapore that depend on young or teenage customers have been hit by HFMD (Current hand, Food and Mouth disease) outbreak. They are working to prevent businesses from moving again. A skating shop names “Inline Culture” had lower income by ten to twenty per cent. There is measure to protected HFMD and make sure for customers that no risk of infected. They have to prevent HFMD by wash or cleaned the liners of skates more often, use sprays to clean the skates, and the shops have to screen or not let the children that look like infected to play.

In my opinion, I think this is a good organize to control the disease to make it not spread more than the past. But this may make some shops not happy with it, because this measure will make many skate shops lost a lot of their income. But they have to follow it before the HFMD spread to large areas.

I chose this article because it’s about environment of Singapore and other countries in ASEANS, which included Thailand. Singapore is one of Thailand’s neighboring country for a long time, Singapore is very near to Thailand. Many times Thailand and Singapore got the same problem about damage from climate changes or environment. So if Singapore get problem with the environment, it means Thailand will also have problem too.

In this news, the IPCC (Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change) had observed the effects of climate change in Singapore, the report was Singapore get affected of environment change, actually Singapore is just a small island and they need to trade for foods and many materials by shipping cross over country. So this means Singapore will get a lot of economic troubles because they do business by depend on the weather and environment.

In my opinion, I think Singapore is an important trading country in ASEANS, if they get problem about this, it will mean ASEANS will have problem too. May be in the future, Thailand and Singapore or other countries should think about how to manage this problem together because now it’s problem in many countries not only one or two countries like the past.

I chose this article because nowadays the global warming is a very important issue. Everyone in the world was worried about the changes of the earth very much, there were a lot of changes that happened from global warming and many people worried such as climate changes, environment changes, Ozone atmosphere get damaged, ice in tundra melts, or many storms in the world. These all problems occurred from humans activities, for example humans released carbon monoxide to the atmosphere, released dirty water with dangerous chemicals to river and sea etc. Singapore is a country that release a lot of greenhouse gas to the world, so they need to think plans how cut it.

In this news, Singapore said that they will decrease emission of greenhouse gas by seven to eleven percent on business manufactures by 2020. From last year Singapore release plans to cut the greenhouse gas. The environment minister of Singapore Yaacob Ibraham said Singapore would start plan after he came back from Copenhagen.

In my opinion, I think now global warming is a very big problem for the entire world, so everyone needs to help this world, not only the governments. If we not do it, may be in the future we will don’t have this world to live anymore.
