The Parakeet in Singapore Picks Netherlands as Champion of the World Cup

I chose this article because now I am in the world cup fever, and everything that related to world cup will interest me, so when I saw this news I am very like it and pay attention to it very much.

If the physic Octopus Paul is famous for the world because he always choose the right winners in this world cup, the marakeet Mani is famous in Singapore because of that reason too.

The marakeet Mani is an astrologer's assistant in Singapore's Little India along Serangoon road. He had also picked the right winners for all the quarter-final rounds and the Spain-Germany Semi final. This make people from all over Singapore flock to the roadside to find out who will be the winner in the final round, and Mani had picked Netherland. Before Mani and his owner see about 10 customers per day. Now, they had many customers per 1 hour. Mani is now literally the talk of the town in Singapore now.

In my opinion, I don't know is he can predicted or he just lucky for the matched before, but I think it is good because this thing made Mani and his owner have more income. Later Mani picked Netherland, the physic Octopus Paul had picked Spain, so one will choose the right and one will choose the wrong.

Singapore Men's Hockey Coach Quits

I chose this article because when I 'm looking for the news about sport in Singapore, and I found this. There are bad news and good news for Singapore men's hockey. It was very unfaired for the Singapore hockey coach.

The news said about The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) had changed their decision. They allowed the republic's hockey men to play at the Guangzhou from Nov 12 to 27. But the bad news is Lim Chiow Chaun, the coach who brought the men to 2nd spot in the seven team Asian games qualifiers in Dhaka. He resigned from Singapore men's hockey because he was dissappointed that SNOC decided not to send the hockey team to the Asian Games before. Now, SNOC changed decision too late because Lim Chiow Chaun already accepted offer from Malaysia. Before he will leave, he said "My wish for Singapore hockey is that they get more funding and that hockey players carry on in the sport."

In my opinion, I think this news was sad and happy for the hockey men in the same time. SNOC had changed their decision too slow, if I am Lim I will leave too because it looks SNOC don't see the important of them, so if the hockey men don't success in the Asian Games, it must blame on SNOC.
